The trim was pretty straightforward. I chose oak and finished it with Danish Oil. You may have noticed that the line between the upper and lower paint areas was not perfect. That is because all along I intended to have some trim to set the two regions apart.

The door trim should not touch the door framing. If it does, this provides a sound transmission path outside the room. I didn't take a picture of this detail.
