My target room was a semi-finished basement room. It serves as the home for my water heater, water softener and breaker box. Before beginning this project, it also housed several shelves full of books and my exercise equipment.

Once I had removed the books, weights and stationary bike, this is what was left. You might notice the piece of dry wall in front of the water heater: I had already begun demolition when I remembered to take the pictures.
