I bought these when I had spent enough time behind my e-kit that I knew I wanted a good acoustic drumset. I would have preferred a top of the line Gretsch set, but their prices are crazy. These drums are from Yamaha's Absolute Maple Nouveau line. I bought them from Drum World in Pittsburgh, where I used to work back in the day. I'm still getting to know this set, so I don't have much to say on the sound. The construction and finish quality is top notch though.

A beautiful set like this must have good cases. I got what I think are a great set of cases for a good price from Calzone Cases, the same company that makes Anvil cases. The Calzones are just as good and a lot cheaper, if you don't need the ATA certification. If you decide you want some, just ask for Linda and tell her I sent you.
